Pantanal is a vast pluvial plain, periodically flooded by the tributaries of the Parana and Paraguay rivers, has a wide variety of tropical wildlife. If you like to see animals in their natural environment, this is the place with the greatest concentration of fauna in the New World. The best time to watch the birds is during the dry season (April to October).
The Pantanal's vegetation includes savanna, forest and meadow. The hawks and alligators compete for fish in the remaining ponds after the rainy season.
