Jericoacoara – best known as “Jeri”, it is a small fishing village located 300 km from Fortaleza. Set amongst giant sand dunes, the last stretch of the journey must be made by 4×4 vehicles. Jeri is a real escape from the trappings of civilization, a place to relax on the beach, swim in crystalline lagoons and admire the sunset at the top of the largest sand dune.

Suggested itinerary: 6 days/ 5 Nights

Day 1 – Fortaleza
Arrival at the airport and transfer to the chosen hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2 – Fortaleza
Breakfast and half day city tour Fortaleza. Return to the hotel and rest of the day at leisure.

Day 3 – Fortaleza/ Jericoacoara
Breakfast and road transfer to Jeri (only driver, around 4 hours journey). Accommodation at chosen pousada and rest of the day at leisure.

Days 4 & 5 – Jericoacoara
Breakfast and days at leisure at this charming beach village.

– Take a buggy ride to the dunes and to Paraiso lagoon
– Walk through the hills until Pedra Furada stone to admire the sunset
– Climb the sand dune at the beach to admire the sunset
– Listen to live samba music on Fridays evenings at Samba da Bençao event, near the church
– Taste the best restaurants in town: Tamarindo (sea food), Bistrô Caiçara (sea food), Fredyssimo (Italian), Na Casa Dela (sea food), Naturalmente (french crepe)

Day 6 – Jericoacoara / Fortaleza
Breakfast and road transfer to Fortaleza airport (only driver).
