Day 1 – … Petrolina

Arrival in Pettrolina / PE, reception at airport and transfer to hotel

Day 2 – Petrolina

Breakfast

Visit to Terranova Winery and stop at the Sobradinho Dam for photos. During the visit it is possible to know the processes that take place at the winery, from the harvest to the bottling, in addition to the distillery where the excellent Miolo Brandy is produced. During the visit you will be able to taste Terranova products with the accompaniment of a winemaker or sommelier who will offer you tips for choosing wines and sparkling wines in the store. In this itinerary the suggested lunch – not included and optional – is at the Socorro do Peixe restaurant on the edge of the lake. Departure time at 8 am and return around 2:30 pm.

Day 3 – Petrolina – São Raimundo Nonato (PI)

08:00h, departure for a private city tour through the main touristic points of Petrolina/PE – Casa do Artesão, the Museum of the Sertão, Ana das Carrancas Cultural Center, Cathedral Church, Bododromo and Roberto Carlos Emotion Center – return at 12:00pm

São Raimundo Nonato

Going to São Raimundo Nonato is like taking a long trip before the time of history. The Municipality is located in the southern region of the State of Piauí and in its territory is the Serra da Capivara National Park, which is considered a Cultural Heritage of Humanity

Day 4 –   Serra Branca, Baixão Andorinha

Breakfast

Displacement of 50 km until reaching Serra Branca, where we will start the trail visiting the Serra Branca waterhole. Then we will visit historical sites and places where the manicobeiros lived before the Park. Stop for a trail snack. In the late afternoon, we will visit the “Baixão das Andorinhas”, where the visitor will be contemplated with a beautiful view of a canyon and will be able to especially see the flock of swallows, a spectacle of nature. Return to the hotel.

Day 5 – Trilha Hombu, Toca do Martiliano, Sítio do Meio & Pedra Furada

Breakfast

Departure for the 2nd day of the tour, with a displacement of 30 km until reaching the Hombu Trail. We will start with a visit to the home of Neco Coelho’s family (one of the first families to arrive in the region). Then, we’ll walk along a trail passing archaeological sites with several paintings and we’ll also be able to observe the local vegetation which has undergone adaptations to survive in the caatinga, such as the various species of cactus found here. After the Hombu Trail we will move to the invention circuit, at this location we will visit the Martiliano burrow (shelter with various cave paintings) and the invention burrow, which is used as a school site for archeology students who come here to take their classes of field, has yellow, white and red paintings. Stop for lunch at the Sítio do Mocó community, at a restaurant with typical local food. After lunch, we will visit Sítio do Meio with a visit to the site that gives the circuit its name, followed by a walk through panoramic views and various sites until arriving at Boqueirão da Pedra Furada, the most visited place in the Park, where there are some archaeological sites and the famous Pedra Furada (Geological monument and postcard of the Park). Return to the hotel in the Evening.

Day 6 – Trilha do Alto da Pedra Furada, Toca de Pilões de Cima

Breakfast

Alto da Pedra Furada Trail has a walk with approximately 4 to 5 km round trip with a drop of 160 meters, takes the visitor to a panoramic view of Pedra Furada from a different angle, one of the most beautiful views of the park. After this walk we will move to Toca de Cima dos Pilão , a shelter in caves where excavations were carried out and found several bones of animals of the mega fauna . here lived many years ago. Stop for lunch, then transfer 25 km to the Serra Vermelha circuit where we will take a walk along the edge of the Canyons observing and appreciating the geology, here we will stay until the end of the afternoon

Day 7 – São Raimundo Nonato – Petrolina

Transfer by private car from São Raimundo Nonato to Petrolina/PE directly to the airport according to your flight schedule;
