Program:

1st Day – …. São Luiz

Arrival at the Airport in São Luís, Maranhão, and private transfer to hotel

Overnight in São Luís at Hotel Luzeiros or similar, with breakfast.

2nd Day – São Luiz – Barreirinhas (B) – Great Lençóis

Breakfast

08h00 – Private Transfer from São Luís to Barreirinhas, Duration: approximately 4 hours

14h00 – Great Lençois off-road tour – Lagoa Bonita or another lagoon accordingly with season (4×4 – jardineira – Toyota), return after sunset;

Overnight in Barreirinhas in Porto Preguiças or similar, with breakfast.

3rd Day – Barreirinhas – Atins – (B/L) – Experience in the Community of Palmeiras dos Ferreira, in the Tamboril stream.

Breakfast

*Departure around 9 am in a private vehicle from Barreirinhas along 8 km of asphalt.

Then enter the dirt road and trails for another 20 minutes until reaching a support point called Sítio Tamboril.

Location where we will stop to choose from the lunch menu or snacks.

Afterwards, departure for a trail hike to discover the local vegetation, a mixture of restinga and plateau, where we can see trees on the banks of the stream and observe birds such as woodpeckers, parrots, thrush and other small birds in their natural habitat.

After a 15-minute walk, we will arrive at the starting point of the descent by buoy in the creek, which continues for approximately 40 minutes, and a refreshing river bath at the starting point and at the end of the descent.

After the descent, a short walk in the community to discover the handicrafts of the lace-makers and enjoy some of their gastronomic skills, such as tasting the manioc starch biscuit, known as tapioca accompanied by a freshly brewed coffee .

Back at the restaurant, stop to relax in the hammock area until lunch is served (included). After lunch, return to Barreirinhas to board the boat to Atins;

*Overnight in Atins at Pousada Atins Charme Chalé or Muita Paz, with breakfast;

4th Day – Atins (B) – Artisanal fishing tour.

Breakfast

Departure from the pousada on a 4×4 vehicle ( jardineira) towards the seaside, where we will board on regional fishing boat to do an artisanal fishing experience on the lazy mouth of river. After it, return to the pousada and time free at leisure.

* 19h00 – Night tour to the dunes to observe the moon and stars. Including chandon toast and fruits.

*Overnight in Atins at Pousada Atins Charme Chalé or Muita Paz, with breakfast

5th Day – Atins ( B/L)- Horse ride

Breakfast

07h00 ( sharp) – Horse ride to the Lagoons of Atins with lunch (Chicken at local restaurant ( “Galinha Caipira” – free range chicken cooked on coconut milk)

One hour stop at the Lorena lagoon (snack of fruits, nuts, and mineral water. Included)

Lunch at Ponta do Mangue – beverages not included

Best period to visit the lagoons – from June to September.

Return at 15h – Arrival around 17h

6th Day – Atins – Parnaíba (B)

Breakast

*Private transfer in a 4×4 gardener from Pousada to Porto de Atins. Average duration of 5min. Departure according to the tide of the day.

*Transfer in private speedboat from Atins to Caburé. Average duration of 15 min.;

*Private off-road transfer, Caburé – Paulino Neves, in a 4×4 vehicle with air, passing by beach trails and dunes, passing by Barra beach, Moita Verde beach, Arpoador village to Amor beach, with a stop to enjoy one of the most beautiful open sea beaches in Maranhão, then stop at the Pequenos Lençóis dunes;

*After lunch (not included) continuation of the asphalt journey to Parnaíba (130km). Average duration of approximately 2h;

*Overnight in Parnaíba at the Hotel de Charme Casa de Santo Antonio, with breakfast

7th Day – Parnaíba ( B) – Delta Tour

Departure at 9 am in a private car with air from the inn to Porto dos Tatus (approximately 30-minute transfer), where we will depart by speedboat for the private tour of the Parnaíba Delta with a stop for bathing in the river and sea and hiking in the dunes. for lunch (not included) in the Canary Islands.

*Departure at 15:00 from Ilha das Canárias in fast boat to Baia do Caju, where the guarás flock in the evening and return around 18:30;

*Overnight in Parnaíba at the Hotel de Charme Casa de Santo Antonio, with breakfast.

8th Day – Parnaíba – Barra Grande( B) – ATV Tour Lençóis Piauienses

Breakfast

Private ATV Tour: Part-time tour departing from the vicinity of Lagoa do Portinho to Praia de Itaqui, passing by trails, dunes and with stops for photos, baths and enjoying the landscape. We stop for lunch and rest by the beach at the Restaurant of the Resort Vila Itaqui where we will stop for lunch (not included). On this tour we have a bath in fresh and salt water, not to mention the cliffs and the lighthouse on Itaqui beach that yield incredible images. (Half crossing)

*After lunch, transfer in a private vehicle from Vila Itaqui to Barra Grande. Transfer lasting approximately 40 min

*Overnight in Barra Grande at Pousada BGK (seafront bungalow) or similar, with breakfast;

9th Day – Barra Grande (B) – Seahorse canoe tour, with oyster tasting

Breakfast

*Seahorse observation tour with oyster tasting: You will have the departure point at the inn, in a carriage bound for Camboa, departure port in Barra Grande, following the mangrove stream, with an explanation of the local fauna and flora, for a little more 3 km, in an ecological rowing canoe tour.

In the mangrove can be observe mollusks, crustaceans, various types of crabs such as Uçá and Red Aratu, known locally as the Crab Gatilha, migratory birds such as the blue heron, curlews and guarás and the seahorse.

As we are in a natural habitat, the presence and contemplation of animals can vary according to the time of year.

On the Camurupim River, which despite being known as a river, is an arm of the sea, that is, the water is salty, there is a stop, where, dressed in life jackets, tourists disembark from the canoe, together with the driver, and the fluctuation with the current begins, for about 2 km, to the port.

The tour in the mangrove ends at the seahorse island, with observation in a natural habitat.

After the journey through the mangrove swamp, the tourist follows the edge of the beach in a cart for 2.5 km, where there is an exclusive view of Barra Grande beach.

The tour ends at the Pousada where the client is staying.

*Departure time depending on the tide, the itinerary may have the opposite sequence, leaving the beach towards the mangrove and Camboa. Floating is only performed at full moon and new moon tides, when the flow of water and currents increase.

10th Day – Barra Grande – Jericoacora (B)

Private transfer Barra Grande – Camocim, in a 4×4 vehicle, where you will changed vehicle for a buggy ride towards Jericoacora, taking the tour through the Mangue Seco and Lagoa da Torta where we will stop for lunch (not included), the transfer / tour will end in Jericoacoara.

NOTE: Luggage goes in the 4×4 vehicle

Overnight in Jericoacoara at Vila Kalango or similar, with breakfast.

11th Day – Jericoacora (B) – Buggy Tour

Private buggy tour in Lagoa Azul and Lagoa do Paraíso with a stop for lunch (included) in Delfim. Departure at 10 am from Jeri by Buggy to the dunes with a stop for a 30-minute trek and head to the B&B restaurant for lunch (included), with a scheduled return at 3 pm;

Sunset tour in deserted dunes with Chandon tasting and snacks.

Overnight in Jericoacoara at Vila Kalango or similar, with breakfast.

12th Day – Jericoacora / Fortaleza/ Home (B)

Private transfer, by asphalt, from Jericoacoara to Fortaleza, Time to be informed according to the departure flight schedule.
